Do you have a boat load of old clothes that you just don’t know what to do with? Don’t let them sit there. Sell them! Anybody can make an absolute mint on their old clothes. Regardless of your size or style, you can sell your clothes and get some extra money in your account. Use these 8 tips for making more money on them than you thought possible:

Make Communication Quick and Clear

If you take too long to reply to a question or you’re not clear, you’ll put people off. You need to word things carefully, so that you’re being truthful and clear. You should also aim to answer questions as quickly as possible. You’ll stand so much more chance of selling your things if you do.

Focus on Styling Items Up

One of the worst things you can do is photograph your clothes on their own. Style them up! It can be as simple as adding a complementary belt and pair of shoes. This will give anybody who is interested an idea on how to wear. Just make sure you make it clear that any other items are not included.

Try Using a Model

Using a model, or even a mannequin can be a good way to show off the fit and cut of the outfits. There are lots of female and male mannequins for sale if you just take a quick look online. You should find something to easily fit your needs. You could even model them yourself if you like!

Take High Quality Pictures

Once you’ve got styling your items down to a T, you need to take high quality pictures. Usually, the more pictures you have of an item, the better. Make sure they show off the color properly, and any other important details.

Write an Enticing Description

Although you need to be honest in the description to avoid any disputes, you need to write an enticing description. If you’re not sure how to do it, take a look at some items similar that have already sold. Look at the ones who made the most money and work out why they got the most. Great styling? Better pictures? Lengthier descriptions? The more effort you put in, the better.

Use the Right Platform to Sell

There are probably more selling platforms than you think. Choose the right ones for the items you have for sale. Vintage items will need to be sold on a special vintage selling site, or you probably won’t get the price you deserve for them.

Package Nicely

Nice packaging will make a difference to your feedback after you’ve sold an item. It’s a nice touch. You don’t have to do it, so people really appreciate it! If you sell anything in the future, they’ll be sure to come back to you.

Offer Free Postage

Free postage usually gets a lot more interest. It just looks more attractive to buyers, so they end up bidding more in general. It’s all subconscious, but it works!

Use these tips and you’ll get so much more money. Enjoy!
